Athletics day

On Tuesday we had our annual athletics day.

We had sprints 100m, 200m and 400m, relays, high jump, shot put, long jump, team building, fun throw, tennis and fun relays.

 

It was a great day but my favourite thing was... tennis skills.

Pasifika Mamas

We went to the Corban Estate Art Centre to see the Pasifika Mamas. We had to take our shoes off before we went inside. Then they told us about the Pasifika Mamas.

Firstly, my group made leis out of fabric flowers, straws and string. I finished just in time before we had to switch.

Secondly, we did drums. There are two types of drum... skin drums and log drums.

Finally we did a dance. The females had different moves from the males.

Cinquain poem

In Term 4 Week 4 we made cinquain poems. I made two, some people made one. Here is my first finished product...

The Snot Goblin

Guten tag my name is Caleb and welcome to my blog.

In Term 4 we read a book call The Snot Goblin. It was about a creature that eats snot. Firstly we made our own snot goblin and described it. Here is my finished product.

Secondly we thought of some questions to ask the snot goblin in the book. Then we thought of how the Snot Goblin would answer them. Here's my finished product.

Q: Why do you live in a Closet?

A: Because I get to eat Underpants and snot.

Q: Why do you eat snot?

A: Because I like snot

Q: What is your favourite food?

A: Crusty bogey pie.

Q: Why are you teeth Brown?

A: Because I never brush them.

Q: Why did you invite your family over?

A: Because I want to live with my family.

Q: Why do the kids like you?

A: Because they think I neet.

Finally we made a letter to the Snot Goblin's family. Here is my finished product. 

Dear little brothers

My owner has allowed me to let you visit me. He has a lot of food to eat and his closet is very comfy. You can also move in. There's fun things we can do there. Everybody thinks I'm neat and don't think you're neat as well. I have a giant fly collection. It’s amazing.  Send me a letter back if you want to come bye.

In Term 2 for cybersmart we made our blog profile. We had to put information about us on it. We had to have photos and speech bubbles.

I like my photos because they show how I am at home. Something I could change is the shape of my speech bubbles because I can't write all my friends in one speech bubble.
